The Charitable Arts Foundation
Supporting Arts and Culture throughout The Bahamas
Our Beginning
Established in 1995, The Charitable Arts Foundation (CAF) is a registered non-profit organization that raises funds in order to support endeavors in arts and culture throughout The Bahamas. The primary source of fundraising has been gala dinners with art auctions and musical performances, supported by a cross section of Bahamian citizens, residents, visitors and corporate entities.
“ … it was a joy to give creatives, dancers, actors, singers, and musicians the opportunity to perform.”
— Kerel Pinder, playwright for student theatre productions.
Jeffrey Meris is a visual artist who attended Temple University (BA Fine Arts) and Columbia University (Masters of Fine Arts).
Our Mission
The Charitable Arts Foundation (CAF) supports the creative talents, artistic abilities and cultural exposure of the people of The Bahamas. CAF grants are considered twice per year for Bahamian students pursuing higher education in creative fields, and to groups and individuals for projects, performances and programs.
“ I feel incredibly encouraged in an environment that fosters artistic growth and exploration. This is a wonderful opportunity ”
— Letitia Pratt, writer currently attending MFA at School of the art institute of chicago (saic).
ArtSea Dance is a weekend-long convention dedicated to helping aspiring young dancers cultivate their talent and recognize the potential in pursuing a professional dance career
Our Impact

“Your support as the Charitable Arts Foundation is paramount to our success…”

Get Involved
The CAF relies on individual and corporate donations to provide our grants. We can assist your organization to set up an annual grant or make it easy for you to drop off an individual donation.
